Met Éireann issues rain alert with flooding threat in Cork and Kerry from Sunday

Heavy rain, flooding risk and sharp temperature drops are forecast across Munster as a Status Yellow warning comes into effect

A status yellow rain warning has been issued for Cork and Kerry from Sunday into Monday, with Met Éireann predicting localised flooding in both counties.

The forecaster says Cork and Kerry will see "persistent rain" that may turn heavy, leading to localised flooding and difficult travel conditions from Sunday afternoon.
