Pedestrian seriously injured following collision with truck in Limerick
The female pedestrian was brought to University Hospital Limerick for treatment of serious injuries.
A pedestrian has been seriously injured following a collision with a truck in Co Limerick on Saturday.
The crash occurred on the Corbally road in Limerick city shortly before 12:30pm.
The female pedestrian was brought to University Hospital Limerick for treatment of serious injuries.
No other injuries were reported.
The road is currently closed to allow forensic collision investigators to conduct a technical examination.
Local diversions are currently in place.
GardaĂ are appealing for witnesses to this collision to come forward.
In a statement, a Garda spokesperson said: "Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and who were travelling on the Corbally Road in Limerick city between 11:45am and 12:45pm today, 22nd November 2025, are asked to provide it to investigating GardaĂ.
"Anyone with information is asked to contact Henry Street Garda Station on 061 212 400, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station."
