What a busy corner of the city will look like if a new apartment block goes ahead close to the Elysian Tower is revealed in virtual images contained in Cork City Council’s planning documents, published on Friday.

The proposed 147-unit development will transform the 0.4552ha site at Anglesea Terrace and will include a 16-storey block just slightly lower than the 17-storey Elysian. As well as apartments, the proposed scheme will include a cafe/restaurant unit and two office/retail units.
