Gardaí seize €114,000 worth of cannabis in Cork and Waterford raids

Cannabis worth €114,200 has been seized by gardaí following separate searches in counties Cork and Waterford on Wednesday.
The seizure forms part of an ongoing investigation into an organised crime group operating across the eastern and southern regions of the country.
During the operation, gardaí searched a vehicle and two residences in Cork and Waterford.
The searches led to the discovery of cannabis herb valued at €114,200.
A man in his 50s was arrested and brought to a Garda station in Cork City.
He is currently being detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
The drugs have been sent to Forensic Science Ireland for analysis.
Gardaí say the investigation is continuing.
