Two arrested in connection with 'violent incident' near Rathkeale

They're both currently being detained at a Garda Station in Co. Limerick under the provisions of Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939/89

Two men have been arrested in Limerick in connection with a "violent incident" earlier this year. 

The incident involved a gun being fired in the townland of Kilcoole, near Rathkeale, on August 21.

The two men, aged in their 20s and 40s, were arrested on Wednesday in connection with the incident. They are detained under the provisions of Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939/89, as amended.

They are being held at a Garda station in Limerick.

A garda spokesperson said investigations are ongoing.
