Man taken to hospital with serious injuries following alleged assault in Cork City

A man stabbed multiple times on a residential road in Cork City on Monday night remains in hospital being treated for his injuries.

The victim, who is in his 40s, had been admitted to hospital in a critical condition following the alleged assault, but it is understood his condition had stabilised somewhat by Tuesday evening.
