Motorcyclist hospitalised with serious injuries following collision in Co Kerry
Garda forensic collision investigators carried out an examination of the scene, but the road has since reopened.
A motorcyclist, aged in his 30s, has been hospitalised with serious injuries following a collision in Co Kerry.
The crash occurred at Moll's Gap in Kenmare at around 11.30am on Monday.
The motorcyclist was brought by ambulance to University Hospital Kerry with serious injuries.
Garda forensic collision investigators carried out an examination of the scene, andthe road has since reopened.
Gardaí are now appealing for witnesses to this incident to come forward.
In a statement, a Garda spokesperson said: "Any road users who may have dash-cam and were travelling on the N71 in the Moll's Gap area between 11.10am and 11.40am are asked to make this footage available to investigating gardaí.
"Anyone with information is asked to contact Killarney Garda Station on 064 6671160, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station."
Investigations are ongoing.
