Man, 60s, dies after house fire in Cork

A man in his 60s has died after a house fire in Cork.
In the early hours of Monday morning, emergency services were called to a property in Hollyhill.
They arrived shortly before 1am to the scene, where the man in his 60s was pronounced dead.
Another occupant, a woman aged in her 60s, was brought to Cork University Hospital for treatment of injuries, which gardaà say are not believed to be life-threatening.
The fire was extinguished by Cork City Fire Brigade.Â
A garda spokesperson said: "The scene is currently preserved and a technical examination will be conducted in due course.Â
"A post-mortem examination is to be arranged for the deceased. The local coroner has been notified."
