Motorcyclist, 50s, dies after Waterford crash
The motorcyclist, a man aged in his 50s, was conveyed to University Hospital Waterford. Gardaí confirmed on Friday that the man had passed away.
A motorcyclist who sustained serious injuries in a crash in Waterford had died in hospital.
The collision involving a car and a motorcycle which happened at Monvoy in Tramore at approximately 7.40pm on Wednesday evening.
The motorcyclist, a man aged in his 50s, was conveyed to University Hospital Waterford. Gardaí confirmed on Friday that the man had passed away.
A man in his 60s arrested at the scene has been charged in connection with the crash. He is due to appear before a special sitting of Waterford District Court on Friday evening.
Investigating gardaí are appealing for anyone with information on the incident to come forward.
Any persons who were in the Monvoy Cross area between 7.30pm and 7.50pm have been asked to contact gardaí.
Any road users who were travelling in this vicinity at the time and who may have camera footage have been requested to make this footage available.
