Man in his 60s dies after being struck by tractor in Clare village crash

A pedestrian has died after being struck by a tractor in Co Clare.
The incident occurred on the L7006 at Kilmurry, Sixmilebridge, on Saturday morning.
Gardaí and emergency services responded to the collision, which involved a pedestrian and a tractor, shortly after 10.15am.
The pedestrian, a man in his 60s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
"His body has been conveyed to University Hospital Limerick. The Coroner has been informed and a post-mortem examination will take place in due course," said a garda spokesperson.
The road is currently closed to allow Garda Forensic Collision Investigators to carry out a technical examination.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area between 10am and 10.15am on Saturday, June 21, 2025, are asked to make it available to investigating gardaí.
