Customs officials have seized nearly €3m worth of cannabis at Shannon Airport.
Some 149kgs of the drug were discovered within parcels at originating from Canada. Revenue officials say the parcels were destined for an address in Co Clare.
The seized drugs have an estimated street value of €2,980,000.
A Revenue spokesperson said their investigations into the matter are ongoing.
"This seizure is part of Revenue’s ongoing investigations involving organised crime groups and the importation, sale and supply of illegal drugs," the spokesperson added.
