Council-run swimming pools and other buildings to stock free period products

The council will assess all publicly-accessed buildings in its control and 'will introduce the provision of free sanitary products on a prioritisation basis'

Cork County Council is to supply free period products in all its municipal buildings which will be available to all staff and the public using the toilets.

Council officials confirmed the move following a motion from Fianna Fáil councillor Gobnait Moynihan who got unanimous cross-party support for the initiative.
