Woman, 30s, found dead near Limerick park

The body of a woman has been discovered in Limerick city, near People's Park.

Gardaí and emergency services responded to an incident on Mallow Street at approximately 1.30pm on Thursday afternoon, near the entrance to People's Park.

A woman, aged in her 30s, was discovered deceased. 

"Her body was removed to the mortuary at University Hospital Limerick, where a post-mortem will take place in due course," said a Garda spokesperson.

Investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of her death.
