Cork’s city councillors have emphatically rejected calls to invite US President-elect Donald Trump to visit Leeside amid warnings that jobs in the city’s US multinationals could be at risk during his presidency.

It follows a lengthy debate on a motion tabled by Independent Cllr Albert Deasy at this month’s city council meeting.
