On Monday, the utility announced that night-time restrictions are being introduced in the Clonakilty area of West Cork after the weekend storm affected the quality of the raw water supply.

A boil water notice has been introduced in one Cork town and night-time restrictions have been introduced in another after the weekend storms.

Uisce Éireann issued a boil water notice on Monday to the almost 4,200 customers who are supplied by the Macroom public water supply — just five days after a previous boil water notice was lifted.
