A status yellow weather warning has been issued for seven counties as Met Éireann says persistent heavy rain is expected on Sunday. 

The warning, which will effect, Cork, Kerry, Waterford, Carlow, Kilkenny, Wicklow and Wexford, will be in place all day on Sunday, from midnight that day until midnight on Monday.
