Cyclist, 40s, hospitalised following accident in Youghal

A cyclist has been hospitalised following a collision in Youghal, Co Cork on Saturday afternoon.

Gardaí attended the scene of the crash involving a cyclist and a van in Summerfield, Youghal at midday on Saturday.

The cyclist, a male in his 40s, has been taken from the scene to CUH, where his injuries are believed to be non-life threatening.

Gardaí say the driver of the vehicle was uninjured.

"Investigations are ongoing," a Garda spokesperson said.
