Local councillor for Midleton Liam Quaide has been selected by the Social Democrats as their candidate for the Cork East constituency in the coming general election.

Mr Quaide was selected following an event in the town, chaired by his fellow councillor Ann Bambury and the party’s Cork East branch chair Rebecca Ryan.
