Teen arrested and imitation firearm seized in Carrigaline 

Gardaí attended a property in Carrigaline at around 7pm following reports of a man with a firearm at the scene. 

A teenager has been arrested and an imitation firearm was seized following an incident on Monday evening in Cork. 

Gardaí attended a property in Carrigaline at around 7pm after receiving reports of a person with a firearm. 

The Detective Unit and the Regional Armed Support Unit supported uniformed gardaí at the scene.

A man, in his late teens, was arrested at the location. 

He is being detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, at a Garda station in Co Cork.

An imitation firearm was also seized by gardaí. 

A garda spokesperson added: "Investigations are ongoing."
