A man arrested in connection with the death of a man in Kerry has been released without charge.
Gerard Kennelly, 44, died following an incident in Knockanure village between midnight and 1am on Monday.
Later on Monday, gardaí arrested a man in his 20s.
He has since been released without charge, with gardaí saying a file will now be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
Meanwhile, another man was on Tuesday night denied bail after being charged with manslaughter in connection to the incident.
Kieran Brady, 35, appeared Judge Alan Mitchell at a special sitting of Listowel District Court on Tuesday evening.
Bail was opposed on the grounds there was a likelihood of a custodial sentence and there was a possibility Mr Brady could be a flight risk.
Pat Mann, solicitor for Mr Brady, applied for bail, saying his client was in a stable relationship with his partner, who is pregnant.
Mr Mann also said his client would be happy to sign on at Listowel Garda Station twice a day, as he only lives a short distance away.
The judge did not grant bail, and said one of the reasons was the seriousness of the charge against Mr Brady.
Mr Mann said he would appeal to the High Court about the refusal to grant bail. Mr Brady was remanded in custody to appear at Killarney District Court on June 4.
A senior investigating officer has been appointed to lead the inquiry into Mr Kennelly’s death, and an incident room has been established at Listowel Garda Station.
Funeral details have been published for Gerard Kennelly, of Gortdromagowna, Knockanure, who was the father of a young daughter and is also survived by his parents Sheila and Jerry, his partner Anne, and his four siblings.
Mr Kennelly will lie in repose at Lyons Funeral Home, Derry, Listowel, on Thursday evening from 5pm to 7.30pm.
His remains will arrive at the Corpus Christi Church in Knockanure on Friday morning at 11.15am, for 11.30am Mass, followed by burial afterwards in Ahavoher Cemetery, Moyvane.
