Cork is poised to welcome back “an old friend”, the head of Cork GAA said on Tuesday as the city gears up to host Bruce Springsteen’s first gig in the city in just over a decade.

Springsteen’s last performance in Cork was in the old Páirc Uí Chaoimh in 2013 — with a 33-song setlist — just weeks before the stadium regeneration began.
