On Tuesday, the Irish Examiner took to the streets of Cork to ask people how they feel about knife crime and safety in the city. 

It comes as Justice Minister Helen McEntee has today secured Cabinet approval to a mend legislation to increase sentences for a number of knife-related crimes.
The planned new sentences will also include stiffer penalties for importing knives.
