Gardaí in Cork are appealing for the owner of a missing wedding ring to come forward.

The white gold ring was found in Carrigtwohill on Wednesday, March 27, and was handed in to Cobh Garda Station on Easter Sunday, March 31.

The man's ring is engraved with the initials M&K and also has a date of July 24, 2015, on it.

Speaking to Patricia Messinger on C103's Cork Today Show, Garda Don Davis of Bantry Garda Station said they would love to reunite the ring with its rightful owner.

He said: "A wedding ring was handed into Cobh Garda station on March 31.

"Now, this is a gent's wedding band, it is white gold, and it was found in Carrigtwohill on March 27."

"So, if someone is missing that wedding band we would love to reunite them with it."
