There was significant flooding affecting roads in Cork and Kilkenny this evening with safety officials warning of difficult driving conditions in heavy rainfall.

In Cork, there was flooding between Mallow and Dromahane; Rochestown and Passage; and the Tay Road in Cobh was impassible.
