Flooding leads to difficult driving conditions in Cork

A status yellow warning for rain is still in place for counties Carlow, Kilkenny, Wexford, Wicklow, and Waterford until midnight tonight.

There was significant flooding affecting roads in Cork and Kilkenny this evening with safety officials warning of difficult driving conditions in heavy rainfall.

In Cork, there was flooding between Mallow and Dromahane; Rochestown and Passage; and the Tay Road in Cobh was impassible.
