Man charged in connection with discovery of man’s body in Co Kerry

A man had been charged by gardaí investigating the discovery of a man’s body in Co Kerry.
Patrick 'Paddy' O’Mahony, a former gun dealer and firearms expert, was found dead at his home in Castlemaine.
On Tuesday, gardaí arrested a man in his 60s, who has since been charged.
The man is due to appear before Tralee District Court on Wednesday at 2pm.
Investigations are ongoing, a garda spokesperson said.
Mr O'Mahony had been a longtime member and commander in the Fórsa Cosanta Áitiúil (FCA) or Army Reserve forces.
A gun enthusiast and expert, he was well-known and well-respected in shooting and hunting circles.
He established 'An Ríocht' Rifle and Pistol Club by his home in Castlemaine in 2007.
