Two men charged in connection with serious assault in Tipperary

Investigations are ongoing, gardaí said.

Two men are to appear in court on Thursday in connection with a serious assault in Tipperary town.

In the early hours of Tuesday morning, a man in his 40s was seriously injured in an incident outside Greenane Drive in the town.

The incident occurred at around 2am and the injured man was taken to University Hospital Limerick.

His condition was serious but stable.

Following enquiries, gardaí arrested two men — both in their 30s — on Tuesday evening.

They will appear before Nenagh District Court on Thursday.
