Garda probe after man found dead in pool of blood in Co Cork 

The circumstances of the man's death are officially being treated as suspicious this afternoon

A Garda investigation has been launched in county Cork on Tuesday after a man was found dead, lying in a pool of blood, in a house in Macroom.

The man, 61, was found with apparent head injuries lying in the kitchen of a house in Annville at around lunchtime. The house is in a sheltered housing development at Barrett's Place, in the town centre.
