Man, 60s, dies following Limerick road accident 

The incident occurred on the R515 in Kilmallock, Co Limerick at approximately 2pm.

A man in his 60s has died following a collision between a car and a motorcycle in Limerick on Friday.

The incident occurred on the R515 in Kilmallock at approximately 2pm.

The driver of the motorcycle was pronounced deceased at the scene. His body has since been removed to University Hospital Limerick.

The driver of the car, aged in his 40s, received treatment at the scene. His injuries are believed to be non life-threatening.

The R515 road remains closed until a technical examination by garda forensic collision investigators takes place.

Local diversions are in place.

Any road users who may have camera/dashcam footage and who were travelling on the R515, Kilmallock, Co Limerick, between 1.30pm and 2.15pm on Friday, February 2, 2024, are asked to make this footage available to gardaí.
