Repainting of sculpture at Cork University Hospital 'appalling and disrespectful'

Frances Lynch said: “It looks like Santa Claus now, doesn’t it?"

“Appalling and disrespectful” is how a Cork businesswoman and patron of the arts has described the painting over of a sculpture that was donated to Cork University Hospital (CUH) in 2006. 

Frances Lynch commissioned the late Tipperary-born sculptor, John Burke, who died in 2006, to create the piece which he gave to CUH.
