Repainting of sculpture at Cork University Hospital 'appalling and disrespectful'

Cork businesswoman and patron of the art, Frances Lynch, says she has been unable to find out who repainted ‘Firefly’

“Appalling and disrespectful” is how a Cork businesswoman and patron of the arts has described the painting over of a sculpture that was donated to Cork University Hospital (CUH) in 2006. 

Frances Lynch commissioned the late Tipperary-born sculptor, John Burke, who died in 2006, to create the piece which he gave to CUH.
