Killarney's housing shortage is set to get worse in 2024, with no plans for social housing developments next year and an appeal being lodged against a major private development in the tourist town.

The town's social housing list stretches to more than 1,000 approved applicants, and for those over the social housing income threshold, there is very little property for sale.
