A close-knit contest as thousands turned up at Cork’s Marina Market on Sunday in a valiant attempt to smash the Guinness World Record for the most people wearing Christmas jumpers in one place. 

The current world record is 3,473 achieved in 2015 by Kansas Athletics , USA.
