Three people seriously injured after multi-vehicle collision in Cork 

Gardaí on the N22, diverting traffic away from the scene of a serious collision in Lissarda, Cork

Three people have been hospitalised with serious injuries after a collision involving a truck and two cars in Lissarda, Co Cork.

The incident occurred shortly before 9.30am on Friday on the N22 Cork to Kerry road.

The drivers of the two cars — two women, one in her 80s and one in her 50s — were taken to Cork University Hospital (CUH) with serious injuries. A man in his 50s, who was a passenger in one of the cars, was also taken to CUH with serious injuries.

The road remains closed at this time and local diversions are in place.

Gardaí remain at the scene.
