Several roads in Waterford have been deemed impassable following heavy showers of rain across the county on Monday.
River levels remain high across the county, leaving many areas across both Waterford City and county flooded, Waterford City and County Council has said.
The reports follow a status orange rain warning that has come into place for Waterford, Wexford and Kilkenny.
This warning came into effect at 4am on Monday and is in place until 1am on Tuesday.
Met Éireann says there will be "heavy and persistent rain with thundery downpours" and has warned motorists of flooding, dangerous travel conditions, and poor visibility.
The increased rainfall has led to the closure of the L4076-41 road, from Fairybush to Woodstown, along with the L4076, Dunmore to Passage Road, at Woodstown, which is now blocked following heavy rainfall.
Road users are advised to use the diversion around Cooltegin.
Other areas of the county affected by flooding are the L4082 road, which is reportedly flooding at Faithlegg Church, followed by the L4082, with flooding at Jack Meade’s pub.
Road users in Ferrybank are advised to proceed with caution, with reports of flooding at the bottom of Rockshire Road, while those on the Cork Road in Waterford City are warned of heavy surface water along the RSC to Whitfield roundabout.
There has also been reports of flooding at Lisduggan and at Morris’ DIY on the inner Cork Road.
Meanwhile, there are two status yellow rain warnings for other parts of the country.
One, for Cork, Clare, Limerick, Tipperary, Galway and Mayo is in place until 6pm on Monday, while a warning for Carlow, Dublin, Kildare, Laois, Longford, Louth, Meath, Offaly, Westmeath, Wicklow and Roscommon is in place until 1am on Tuesday.
