Shannon Airport reopens following temporary closure due to 'unexpected heavy fog'

Heavy fog has led to the temporary closure of Shannon Airport. 

Shannon Airport has reopened following its temporary closure on Sunday night due to "unexpected heavy fog."

The airport was forced to shut down around 11pm on Sunday night but a spokesperson confirmed that normal operations resumed as of 1pm today.
