Man, 20s, charged in connection with violent disorder incident in Dublin

The scene of the incident was preserved for technical examination to take place, and a spokesperson for An Garda Síochána said investigations are ongoing.

A man, aged in his 20s, arrested in connection with a violent disorder incident in Dublin on Saturday has since been charged.

Gardaí are continuing to investigate the incident which occurred in Leopardstown at approximately 8.25pm on Saturday.

Gardaí and emergency services received reports of an incident involving a number of people at the South County Business Park on Saturday evening, which resulted in a man, 20s, sustaining serious injuries.

The man was taken from the scene to be treated at Beaumont Hospital where he was in a critical condition.

Two other men, also aged in their 20s, were brought to St Vincent’s Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Another man, aged in his 20s, was arrested in connection with the investigation and was detained under Section 4 Criminal Justice Act, 1984.

He has since been charged and is expected to appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice on Monday at approximately 10.30am.

An incident room has been established at Dundrum Garda Station, with a senior investigating officer appointed.

Gardaí are continuing to appeal to anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward.

Anyone with camera footage, including dash-cam, who was in or around the Vantage Apartments, Central Park, Leopardstown and the South County Business Park, Leopardstown area between 8pm and 9pm on Saturday is asked to make this footage available to investigating gardaí.
