A man with sporting prowess as a youth ended up suffering serious drug addiction over the years and now a sentencing judge has told him the sporting arena would offer him much more enjoyment than drugs ever could.

A sentence of two months, with the second month suspended, was imposed on 31-year-old Tony Dolan by Judge Catherine Ryan at Cork District Court.
