Man, 20s, dies in Co Westmeath crash

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision to come forward.

A man in his 20s has died after a crash in Co Westmeath.

The fatal single-vehicle collision occurred on the N4 at Ballynafid on Sunday shortly after 12.50am.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

A post-mortem examination will take place in due course.

The N4 between Mullingar and Rathowen, Co Westmeath is currently closed for a technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.

Local diversions are in place.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision to come forward.

Road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling on the N4 near Ballynafid, Co. Westmeath between 12.30am and 1.10am on Sunday, March 15 are asked to make this footage available to investigating gardaí.
