Man charged amid investigation into suspicious approaches to children in Dublin

A man arrested as part of an investigation into an alleged assault and suspicious approaches to children in Dublin has been charged.
The man, aged in his 20s, is due to appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice (Court No.1) at 10.30am this Wednesday.
The alleged incidents occurred on February 15.
It is understood detectives spoke to a number of children in the area and a local school was also visited as part of the investigation.
On Tuesday morning, the man was arrested in Santry after a search of a property by members of the the Divisional Protective Services Unit and local gardaĂ and detectives.
He is currently being held under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act at a Garda station in the Dublin Metropolitan Region.
Investigations are ongoing.
