Gardaí seize scramblers, e-scooters and drugs in Dublin

Gardaí have seized a number of scramblers, e-scooters and drugs in Dublin.
As part of a co-ordinated day of action for Operation Meacán in Finglas, Cabra and Blanchardstown in West Dublin, more than 60 scrambler motorbikes, e-scooters, e-bikes and quad bikes were seized.
The operation involved Gardaí from DMR West Crime North and Blanchardstown Community Engagement.
As a result of the operation, a man aged in his 20s was arrested has since been charged. He is due to appear before the courts at a later date.
According to a Garda spokesperson, a total of 18 searches of residential properties were conducted targeting the sale and supply of controlled drugs and related criminal activity.
The vehicles seized included 29 scramblers, 21 e-scooters, thre e-bikes, three quad bikes, one mini-motorcycle.
Quantities of drugs, cash and a number of weapons were also recovered during the operation.
"A total of €20,720 of controlled drugs was seized during the course of this operation including cannabis with an estimated value of €16,020, €1,000 worth of alprazolam tablets and €3,500 worth of crack cocaine.
"All drugs seized will be subject to analysis," added the spokesperson.
