Two men have appeared before a special sitting of Fermoy District Court in Co Cork charged in connection with the seizure of 23.6 kg of herbal cannabis with a street value of €472,000 at a house in the Newmarket area of the county earlier this week.

Thomas Doody, age 32, and Gavin Downey, age 30, were charged with possession and possession for sale of supply of cannabis at Glennamucklagh West in Newmarket, Co Cork, on Wednesday.
