Death threat and non-fatal strangulation charges were brought on Friday against a man accused of choking and holding a knife to a young woman’s neck and threatening her with the words: “I will kill you”.

Sergeant John Dineen confirmed that two new charges had been brought against Kevin Buckley of 5C Shanakiel, Blarney Road, Cork, at Cork District Court.
