A woman and a young man arrested in Douglas in September on drug-dealing charges have had the cases against them adjourned until April 13, 2025, to allow time for forensic analysis of the suspected drugs.

Both defendants appeared before Cork District Court on Monday. 26-year-old Letisha Murphy is charged that on September 21 at Lios Na Gréine, South Douglas Road, Cork, she had cocaine and Diamorphine (heroin) for the purpose of selling or otherwise supplying.

Letisha Murphy is residing at Leinster Street North, Phibsboro, Dublin. Judge Mary Dorgan was told that an incorrect address in the Douglas area was previously given for Ms Murphy and that, in fact, she was not living at that address then or now.

Judge Dorgan directed that the actual resident of that address in Douglas was to be given a copy of the court document showing that Letisha Murphy is resident in Dublin.

The judge gave this direction after being told that the incorrect use of the Cork address had adversely affected the person who does reside there.

Co-accused, 21-year-old Levi Ward, from Dublin and of no fixed address, faces charges of having heroin and cannabis for sale or supply at Lios Na Gréine on September 21.

When the matter first came before Cork District Court in September there was no objection to both accused being remanded on bail on their respective charges.
