A man accused of assaulting a woman causing her harm at a pub in Cork City was allegedly swinging a stool in another direction when it flew from his hands, striking the injured party in the head.

This was the allegation outlined at Cork District Court in the case against 43-year-old John Daly, of 22 Manor Road, Manor Farm, Lehenaghbeg, Cork.
