A 50-year-old man verbally abused gardaí and warned them they could not arrest him, during a volatile situation last year.

Defence solicitor Frank Buttimer accepted the conduct of Eoin Wyer of Ashcroft, Abbeyside, Dungarvan, Co Waterford, was egregious and unacceptable but he had been sober since this incident of being drunk and threatening on February 11, 2024.
