Man, 40s, arrested in connection with €140,000 cocaine seizure in Dublin

The seizure was made as part of a joint operation between gardaí and Revenue officials. 

A man aged in his 40s has been arrested in connection with the seizure of €140,000 worth of cocaine in Blackrock, Co Dublin, on Tuesday.

The seizure was made as part of a joint operation by the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB), Dublin Metropolitan Region (DMR) East Divisional Drug Unit, and Revenue Customs Service.

The man is currently detained at a Garda station in Dublin under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.

Forensic Science Ireland are currently analysing the seized drugs.

Investigations are ongoing, gardaí said.
