Cork car thief jailed for deliberately ramming Deliveroo worker who suffered broken leg

Cork Circuit Criminal Court heard that the Deliveroo driver was left with his bone protruding from his leg. File picture: Chani Anderson

A Deliveroo worker was chased by men in a stolen car who threw things at him as he tried to get away on his moped but he suffered a broken leg when the car deliberately rammed him off the bike, leaving him on the road with his fractured leg protruding through his skin.

Judge Sinead Behan said the endangerment of the life of this young Brazilian man must have been a terrifying and extremely painful experience for him.
