Gardaí say investigations are ongoing

Gardaí have arrested a man in connection with the robbery of a filling station in Ballybrack Village, Dublin earlier this week.

According to a garda spokesperson, at approximately 5.30pm on Monday, June 2, "a male entered a filling station in Ballybrack Village with his face covered, brandishing a knife. He threatened staff and took a sum of cash before fleeing the scene".

Gardaí from the Shankill Detective Unit arrested the man in the Shankill area and he was subsequently detained under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984. 

He remains in custody at this time. 

Gardaí say investigations are ongoing.
