A man aged in his 40s has been arrested in connection with the seizure of €120,000 worth of cannabis in Dublin.

The seizure was made following a joint operation between Revenue officers and gardaí.

The man is currently detained at a Garda station in Dublin under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.

A Revenue spokesperson said: "This seizure is part of Revenue’s ongoing joint investigations involving organised crime groups and the importation, sale and supply of illegal drugs.

"If businesses, or members of the public, have any information regarding drug smuggling, they can contact Revenue in confidence on phone number 1800 295 295."

Investigations are ongoing.
