A 25-year-old woman charged with punching one member of An Garda Síochána in the nose and biting another officer’s arm was remanded in custody on Thursday.

Garda Ken O’Brien arrested Teegan Lonergan of Cork Simon Community on a bench warrant and objected to bail being granted in her case on the basis of failures to turn up in court a number of times and the garda belief that excessive drinking by the accused was becoming an increasing problem with the accused in the city centre.
