Kerry man, 51, sentenced to seven and a half years for knife attack on teenager 

The victim has been left with 'obvious facial scars' along with injuries to nerve ends near the eye, scalp, arms, and the back of the neck

A 52-year-old man has been handed down a prison sentence of seven and a half years at the Circuit Criminal Court in Tralee for a knife attack on a then 17-year-old youth outside a house in Cahersiveen which caused serious injuries.

The last 18 months of the sentence were suspended.
